Travel Guide Kit Editorial is the desk that researches, writes and checks every guide on this site. It is an editorial desk, not an invented persona: no guide here is signed by a person who does not exist, and no page claims a visit that nobody made.

Every opening time, ticket price and transport connection is checked against the operator’s own website and carries the date it was checked. Anything undated on this site should be treated as unverified.

Where the facts come from

  • Temperature and rainfall normals come from the national weather agencies: AEMET for Spain and IPMA for Portugal. Each guide names the station and the reference period.
  • Opening hours, ticket prices and closing days come from the operator’s own website, not from another travel blog.
  • Transport times come from the operator’s published timetable.
  • Coordinates and administrative regions come from Wikipedia, checked against a bounding box for the Iberian Peninsula.
  • Anything that can change carries the date it was checked.

What this desk does not do

  • It does not write first-person accounts of places nobody here has been to. Where a page cannot draw on direct experience, it says what can be verified instead.
  • It does not accept payment for coverage. No hotel, tour operator or tourist board has any say in what a page says.
  • It does not publish a page to fill a gap. An unwritten destination shows its facts and says the guide is still being written.
